If you are overweight, you are not alone. Sixty-six percent of adults in the United States Are overweight or obese. Achieving a healthy weight may help you control your cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar. It could also help avoid weight-related diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and some cancers.
Eating too much or not enough physical activity will make you overweight. To maintain your weight, calorie intake should be equal to the energy burning. To lose weight, you must use more calories than you eat. A strategy for weight control could include -
* Choose low-fat, low-calorie foods
* Eat smaller portions
* Drinking water instead of sugary drinks
* Be physically active
