Here is an easy recipe for a healthy yet nutritious smoothie. This resembles to me "Gazpacho", a kind of delicious smoothie or "cold soup" people often have in the hottest regions of Mediterranean Spain. Give this a try, it yummy, easy to prepare and hearty.
Blend together in a blender:
6 oz. carrot juice (fresh, bottled from grocery store, or home juiced)
1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves
1 stalk celery, cut in pieces
1/2 small, raw apple, cut in pieces
2 1-oz scoops of micro-filtered whey powder
1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
You can complete the meal with this side dish:
2 sesame seed crackers spread with 1 tsp. peanut, almond, or cashew butter
